Here we are ready to set out. The pants are tucked into the socks to prevent ticks from getting to my legs.

The next morning we made breakfast with my camp stove.

This is me just after crossing a small run. At the next run I would get a wet foot and have to change out of my shoes.

After a drudging hike uphill, we stopped at a ledge to overlook the valley.
The look was very colorful, but not too awe-inspiring.
A little farther up, another ledge offered a much better view of the valley.

We had some other people that were there take our picture next to the falls.
On our drive back we stopped at a couple places along Skyline Drive (which runs the length of Shenandoah) to take in some of the views. Click on the picture for a larger version.
